William Stanton is a native of New Baltimore, Michigan. As the son of a writer and librarian, William was introduced to the arts at a young age. A graduate of the University of Michigan's School of Music (where he studied Performing Arts Technology and Media Arts), William is primarily concerned with the cross-breeding of music and electronics.

His recent work has been centered around writing music for film and other mediums. William's works have been featured at the Baryshnikov Arts Center, the Ann Arbor Film Festival, Traverse City Film Festival, the Detroit Institute of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, and the Bay City Hell's Half Mile Film Festival.
