Composer, Producter and Engineer William Stanton

Most recently, Will finished the original score for documentary Herbie of Montlieu Goes To Distant Lands. He is currently producing Indie artist and violist Jeanann Dara’s debut EP and mixing a full-length project for electronic duo Snaykhunt & Raft.

Since moving to New York in 2011, Will has built a name for himself starting as the house engineer at both noted-jazz venue ShapeShifter Lab and experimental performance space La Sala. Upon leaving ShapeShifter Lab, Will became house engineer at new music venue Spectrum.

As a composer, Will is fascinated with using advanced recording studio techniques and electronics as a compositional element. In addition to writing and performing his own concert work, Will has written numerous film scores and work for dance, which have been heard at the Cannes International Film Festival, the Detroit Institute of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Arts Detroit, Toronto International Film and Video Awards, Michael Moore’s Traverse City Film Festival and the Baryshnikov Arts Center.

He is also a performing member of David First’s Western Enisphere and tours internationally with Virgil Moorefield’s Pocket Orchestra.
